Do What Works For You!

This day and age we are constantly bombarded with advertisements, commercials, opinions, and pushy sales people. Seems like everybody has life figured out and wants us to try it their way. Only to find out they're just as lost (or even more lost) than we are/were! Can someone say "blind leading the blind"?!

Well what I've found in life is that you have to find what works for you and stick with it. That goes from buying clothes to marriage, and all things between. We have to stop being influenced by every "next best thing" and being told we "need" certain products, features, or services. We have to stop letting the outside world dictate how we live ourlives. Instead we need to live life from the inside out. Learn ourselves and what we like and dislike. Take time out to figure out how we feel about certain things or people. WE NEED TO FIND OUR IDENTITY. Sorry for yelling but that is what it all boils down to. Knowing yourself so you can understand what you need. Maybe then you can stop jumping from one relationship to the next, keep a job, feel comfortable in marriage being a man who cooks (or a woman who doesn't), etc. The list could go on but I think you get the point. I would like to see more people inform themselves before they go buy products so they don't get sold something they have no practical use for later.

All in all, to use the words of Shakespeare "to theyself be true". At a minimum don't lie to yourself...I mean who else will believe you if you don't?!

So I'd like to leave you with encouragement to be confident in finding what works for you (and your family) and do that. Don't worry about society or what friends might say. If it works for you and adds value to your life who are they to persuade you any other way?

Where do you get such courage from? Above! Look up and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. All that you need and are purposed to be/have is in Him. Try this one on for size...

 7 "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
       whose confidence is in him.
 8 He will be like a tree planted by the water
       that sends out its roots by the stream.
       It does not fear when heat comes;
       its leaves are always green.
       It has no worries in a year of drought
       and never fails to bear fruit."

Proverbs 14:23

Hard work always pays off; mere talk puts no bread on the table.

And It Begins!!!

Welcome!!!

This is a blog dedicated to my emergence as an illustrator. My intention is to take some of my more intimate thoughts and illustrate them in a way that can be easily understood by the viewer. Many times fancy words, or big books discourage people from actually understanding and obtaining the knowledge intended. You couple that with the short attention span of the average American today and it can be quite a daunting tasks to infuse people to think deeper about life. My prayer is this blog will be funny, convicting, deep, brilliant, clever, creative, and honest.

Thank you for stopping by and be blessed
